Habit
A suckering shrub of 5-15 feet, Black Chokeberry is a great native plant that forms colonies. Great for shrub borders and naturalized plantings.
Color
Clusters of black fruit in late summer/early fall persisting on the branches for a few months. Fall color is a nice scarlet red. White flowers in spring.
Culture
Essentially the same as Red Chokeberry- very adaptable to different soils and growing conditions. Black Chokeberry likes to grow in sun or partial shade.
