Bottlebrush Buckeye Wholesale

Aesculus parviflora (Bottlebrush Buckeye)

Habit: Large suckering multi-stemmed shrub that tends to form a rounded appearance if grown in sun. When grown in shade, Bottlebrush Buckeye has an irregular spreading appearance. Although it suckers, it does not usually become out of control or unsightly. An elite choice among natives.

Color: One of the best native shrubs for color. In mid summer will produce large, creamy white flowers on a bottlebrush-like inflorescence. Will flower in both sun and shade. A colony of Bottlebrush Buckeye in full bloom is an astounding sight. In fall leaves turn yellow.

Culture: Tolerant of both sun and shade, Bottlebrush Buckeye will survive and grow in many different environments. It prefers moist areas but will thrive in dry conditions once established. Bottlebrush Buckeye can be rejuvenated by pruning it to the ground.
