Blue-X® Installation & Removal

Installation

     We can provide everything you need.
     The shelter can be installed using 3/8" rebar or
     ¼" smooth steel rod

   The shelter can be attached using this
     simple method.

   For rebar or smooth metal stakes

  1. Slip the shelter over the plant.
  2. Install a rebar or smooth metal stake between the two parts of the shelter.
  3. No tie is necessary.
  4. Mound soil or mulch 2-3" around the base of the shelter or install on top of a UC Protective Mulch Collar.


 

Removing Shelters 1. Use a sharp utility knife to slice the poly-tube sleeve (part B) the full length of the shelter. Avoid cutting the blue plastic film if reusable. 2. Discard the poly-tube in an environmentally correct manner. 3. The blue plastic film (part A) may be reused if it is not worn out and brittle by the sun. The shelters are UV protected to last 5 years.
